Stock and Forecast Supply Chain Analyst

Purpose of role
Reduce distressed stock:

· Zero Shorts
· Zero Short Codes
· "One set of numbers"

Nature & Scope of the Assignment
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for the short codes for the site whilst ensuring the site keep to the mantra of 'Zero Shorts' and 'Zero Short Codes' and as such will be required to . . .

· Work hand in hand with their peers in Demand Planning
· Work closely with the Category Manager to gain understanding of the goals for the cream Category.
· Question the 'status quo' on a daily basis with regards to family planning, cycle time adherence, plan attainment, forecast accuracy (understand the trends) and event management (to manage the peaks and troughs)
· Play a key role within the Site Capability Reviews including risks and opportunities and 'gap closing'.
· Have the most detailed understanding of the supply chain constraints.
· Ensure the implementation of current, standard best practice for supply chain planning and scheduling.
· Be the champion for driving perfect service and zero short codes for the site, working closely with their counterparts in planning
· Manage product cycle times leveraging family planning opportunities.

Principal Accountabilities

· Own the cycle times.
· Maintain an accurate capacity model for the site (Master Production Schedule)
· Work with Demand Planning to understand the forecast variation and trends highlighting to the Category Manager any risks and opportunities.
· Actively participate in the daily service review(s) questioning ANY short codes.
· Develop and drive a zero short codes action plan. Report on a weekly and monthly basis.
· Implement standardised planning tools/functions to ensure 'one set of numbers'

Knowledge & Experience Required

· At least 4 years FMCG experience including a minimum of 3 years' experience in a planning or scheduling role. Manufacturing, New Product Development, Customer Service and Logistics experience also advantageous.
· Strong supply chain planning and demand management skills
· Demonstrable ability to solve complex problems and to "think out of the box"
· Demonstrable ability to engage a broad spectrum of personnel to work together towards a common goal
· Strong influencing skills. Comfortable working with all levels of the organisation
· Demonstrable excellent Excel skills (Minimum intermediate to expert level required)
· Full driving license and willing to travel when and where necessary .
· Good day to day / week to week project management skills.
