Key Responsibilities:

* Developing strategies and plans to reduce the Citi EMEA Market Data expense base including supply / demand opportunities as well as operational efficiencies
* Build strong relationships / partnerships across MDS Effiencey team (locally & globally) and all other expense stakeholders including ICG business to drive forward the MDS Effiencey team agenda and deliver on the business plan
* Developing detailed project plans, gain business buy in and support and execute cost savings programs
* Proactively identify savings opportunities and to ensure that any areas of growing / significant expense are reviewed for possible saves opportunities
* Conduct monthly divisional reviews with CAO / Business Managers to help them better understand expense trends, variances, impact of savings initiatives, and forecast details
* Develop analysis to highlight category trends that will support various expense initiatives
* Liaise with all stakeholders to track and monitor progress of all initiatives
* Support the monthly consolidation and reporting of Global Market Data saves
* Producing analytics to identify, capture and fully validate all completed savings initiatives
* Assist business in facilitation of new service requirements including detailed requirements analysis, vendor engagement, selection process, liaison with procurement and legal through to validation with approvals committee (if applicable)
* Ensure compliance of market data usage, including understanding of regulatory requirements and vendor contractual obligations surrounding internal and external redistribution of data
* Work with desk heads, business and technology managers to identify and understand business strategy, be aware of product and application requirements and make recommendations that will fit strategy
* Undertake regular cost benefit analysis with specific focus on lower cost displacements in line with overall Market Data strategy
* Regularly review market data expenditure, trends and service utilisation with business managers
* Meet regularly with key market data vendors to manage service delivery and maintain knowledge of service offerings and competitive landscape.
* Communicate the strategic roadmap of major Market Data vendors to business mangers and key desk head contacts to ensure they are kept up-to-date with current market data trends
* Manage product demonstrations and trials for user assessments
* Successfully manage and develop junior members of the Market Data team

The successful candidate will be able to expand their Market Data knowledge base, gain deeper product knowledge from interacting within a number of different Markets using a wide breadth of Market Data services and be provided with the opportunity to interact within areas of the firm outside O&T

Qualifications:

* Proven track record in a business analysis role within a Banking or Vendor operation
* Market knowledge within a specified business area such as Fixed Income, Equities, Banking or a relevant Vendor operation etc
* Sound knowledge of the key vendors in this market including Reuters and Bloomberg both from a content and data sourcing perspective.
* Knowledge of data flow in applications would be preferable
* Good secondary school/college education
* Under graduate degree not a prerequisite
* No professional qualification required
* Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience
* Strong communication and inter-personal skills
* Strong PC knowledge, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word
* Attention to detail, keen team player
* Confident under pressure with a strong desire to succeed
* Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines
