The Position:
This position is for a Medical Science Liaison, which is a field based role, and will be covering Roche's upcoming CNS portfolio in the Midlands
We are looking to recruit a high calibre individual to join a new Medical Liaison Team.
This is a great opportunity for you to combine your scientific background, clinical expertise with your flair for communication and relationship building.
Reporting to the MSL Team Leader within Medical Communications, you will be part of a broader head office based medical affairs team, responding to requests from healthcare professionals for medical/scientific information. The information provided maybe within the category of legitimate exchange of information during the development of a new medicine or within the terms of a future marketing authorization.
You will manage the important liaison between the healthcare professional and the relevant internal functions at Roche, exploring and identifying opportunities for building partnerships that benefit both parties. Experience in therapy area expert development is therefore highly desirable.
Being field based you will also provide support to Country Clinical Operations within Roche, supporting phase III/IIIb/IV studies, whilst at all times adhering to the ABPI Code of Practice.
Naturally, you will ensure that all of your work complies with Roche's and other regulatory and industry procedures and standards, including the ABPI code of practice.

To be successful in this role you will have a postgraduate life sciences degree and/or proven experience of working in a clinical or scientific role within the pharmaceutical industry or the NHS.
You will also have a sound understanding of the NHS and the ABPI Code of Practice.
Mental health disease area experience, particularly in schizophrenia is highly desirable, but we would be happy to hear from other applicants with the appropriate transferable skills.
You will be skilled at understanding, analyzing and interpreting data from clinical trials.
Your knack for conveying complex concepts concisely combined with your excellent presentation skills will enable you to translate and communicate that data.
Your positive and proactive approach combined with excellent communication, inter-personal and influencing skills will enable you to build and sustain partnerships in your locality.
Planning and project management skills, combined with time management skills, will allow you to optimise and prioritise activities in order to deliver the most efficient service to your healthcare professionals. The insight gained by your interactions with healthcare professionals will allow you to proactively contribute to strategic discussions to improve the quality and relevance of the research and data generated by the Company.
