The Organisation is looking for a candidate with stock control experience to administrate a designed group of products ensuring optimum product availability at agreed company inventory levels.

You will be responsible for providing administrative support to facilitate the following:
  • Maximise product availability at minimum inventory cost.
  • Meet designated targets in respect of inventory stockholding levels.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with customers/suppliers/ colleagues to ensure optimum stock levels at all times and to resolve any issues relating to supply chain.
  • Develop and utilise knowledge of specific product group areas to facilitate more effective demand forecasting.
  • Manage goods inwards targets agreed with distribution for all products taking action to address problems in a timely manner.
  • Placement of purchase orders/ensuring order parameter accuracy.
  • Assist to ensure that all orders are booked in and delivered within our deadlines.
  • To assist with customer and enquiries.
  • Assist with any other duties when required to ensure the smooth running of the category.
  • Create and circulate relevant reports.
  • Management of containerised stock to include, accurate purchase orders, tracking, administration, timely communication and managing intake.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:
  • Experience in stock control and stock management
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to change and to prioritise task in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to recognise and be sensitive to the needs of team members and to build trust and respect within the team.
  • Demonstrates the ability to make judgements quickly based on fact.
  • Ability to generate and build supplier confidence and rapport.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Computer Literate (must have strong Excel skills).
  • Numerate.
  • Team player with good communication and inter-personal skills.
  • A can do positive attitude
