Hays Marketing is recruiting a National Account Executive to join a fast paced, commercial FMCG business. This role is office based, supporting the Senior Business Manager with designated key accounts of a large portfolio of retail customers.
 
The role will consist of:
1) Assisting the Senior Business Manager with the following aspects of customer management
Develop and manage relationships with directly managed customers in order to maximise opportunities.
Some participation in customer meetings, particularly category reviews and NPD (new product development) Supporting the BM in preparation of costings and price quotes
Help to draw up product specifications, prepare costings, ensure adherence to the laid-down NPD process
Help to organise and manage multifunctional project meetings where required
Be primarily point of contact with customers on some key day to day processes
2) Manage some designated customers effectively managing the customer's product range ensuring:
All new product introductions are delivered on time
All opportunities for value engineering and profit enhancement are fully exploited
Run-out/run-in processes are properly executed for all product and range changes
Produce monthly forecasts for directly managed customers ensuring that it is effectively communicated to all known customer activities
For direct accounts, where appropriate, identify and exploit new product development opportunities

Skills required:
Educated to minimum of HND level
Must have previous experience of working with retailers (in either a support or account management capacity within a FMCG environment)
Strong knowledge of customer relationship management process and possess skills and techniques required to develop relationships
Must have had exposure to commercial aspects of customer relationships including financial aspects, eg, margins and product costing process
Experience of managing "real" products and understanding of product development process
Analytical skills and ability to understand data - customer and market data in order to improve business performance and enhance forecast accuracy
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
