 Summary Job Description  :
   Reporting to the Executive Director of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), the Project Assistant will work with the Executive Director to carry out the work of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
 The mission of the SDSN is to provide technical inputs into the United Nations' Post-2015 Development Process by building an international network of experts.
The network will also implement demonstration projects to showcase pathways to achieving Post-2015 goals.
 In this position the Project Assistant will help the Executive Director build a membership portfolio for Network members and run a membership campaign. Further, the Project Assistant will assist one particular demonstration project, the online university for sustainable development, by developing an online course. 
Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant     Bachelor's degree required and a minimum 2-4 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:  
  •  Passion for the mission of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
  • Minimum three years' experience in private sector, academia, or government/policy institution with deep knowledge of international development and sustainability.
  • Successful record of project management, including the ability to motivate others and the flexibility to respond to changing priorities in fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding English oral and written communication skills. Full proficiency desirable in one or more other languages, notably Arabic, French, Mandarin, or Spanish.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to work with world-leading scientists and business executives with discretion and support.
  • A professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time.
  • Advanced degree in economics, development, natural sciences, engineering, business or related discipline.
