My Client are one of the largest Power Organisations. They are looking for an individual that has excellent experience within procurement, and excellent knowledge and understanding of SAP and data extraction techniques.

The Procurement & SAP Reporting Manager is a direct report to and supports the Head of Corporate Procurement, Policy & Development in the development, co-ordination and preparation of;

a) monthly business management reports into procurement activity; procurement pipeline; benefits tracking and realisation; compliance;
b) category-specific financial reports in support of the Strategic Sourcing procurement framework (in consultation with the Category Managers);
c) supplier information packs for key suppliers to the business; and
d) commodity pricing information

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
In discharging the role of Procurement & SAP Reporting Manager the post holder will:

*Develop, implement and continuously improve a regime of auditable and quality-assured procurement management information, including dashboard reporting.

*Design, implement and deliver a suite of specific monthly reports and reporting tools for the communication of key procurement metrics; in particular progress against pipeline; benefits realisation; cross-company compliance with procurement policy and process; commodity trends

*Design, implement and deliver information packs to provide market intelligence eg regarding key trends or key suppliers, such that Procurement can provide timely and effective supplier and market insight as and when required by senior management.

*Design, develop and implement procurement reporting from SAP, other databases; third party source including Internet research

*Design, develop and implement an auditable annual and monthly analysis of the client's expenditure against all the key categories

*Develop and deliver an effective service to the three procurement teams to provide robust category spend information; and compliance reports; to enable them to develop and execute appropriate sourcing strategies

*Captures benefits/efficiencies claimed across the whole of the Procurement Function and ensure that independent validation is secured through the Finance Directorate

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Responsible for data acquisition, quality control and analysis prior to insertion into agreed business report formats

*Responsible for carrying out regular checks on the quality and robustness of data being reported, the systems being used to generate that data, and the efficiency of the processes involved

*Design, delivery and presentation of consolidated management information & financial analysis to Senior Management - primarily in written format

*Management & co-ordination of procurement input to the Capital Programme Category Plans and annual business planning

*Responsible for establishing and maintaining key relationships with data providers both internally and externally and able to communicate effectively with senior management

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
*Extensive experience of design, development and implementation of procurement management information and dashboards from SAP base data and standard reports
*In-depth technical understanding and experience of SAP and data extraction techniques
*Ability to creatively review and disseminate project and business data into structured and clear management reports
*Ability to undertake quality assurance of bespoke reports built from SAP tables
*Educated to degree level or equivalent in a commercial, management or financial discipline or equivalent.
*Extensive experience of reporting within a procurement context
*Excellent analytical, data extraction, organisation & planning skills
*Vision and Commercial awareness
*Proactively captures knowledge and shares it within the business through Continuous Improvement.
*Advanced Microsoft Excel (including development of Excel-based reporting tools), Access and PowerPoint skills, together with extensive experience in use of tools such as SAP BW, Cognos, etc
