Profile

We are searching for a Marketing Manager with a proven track record in the beauty/personal care industry, working for one of the most prestigious cosmetics firm based in Central London. The role will see you developing and implementing the brand strategy for both UK and International markets, to include marketing communications, PR and digital marketing channels.

The successful candidate will thoroughly understand the cosmetics industry. They will have experience of managing staff and managing senior stakeholders: UK GM etc. The role itself will require effective portfolio management, understanding the customer needs and subsequently creating a profitable marketing mix, engaging both direct customers and B2B distribution channels.

Background The selected candidate will have a strong understanding of cosmetic products, and be able to recognise category trends. Experience in creating and launching digital marketing campaigns. Portfolio management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage more than one marketing initiative at one point in time.
Excellent verbal and written communication is essential, working closely with internal stakeholders, as well as communicating with key retailers and distributors.
Proven Project Management ability, coupled with high level organisation, to create long term plans and generate progress and budgeting reports.
Strong interpersonal skills with cross-cultural awareness; managing and mentoring a team of Brand Managers. A clear understanding of the in-store environment and the POS landscape.
Responsibilities Develop an in-depth understanding of the market within the UK, and key international markets.
Take charge of the brand strategy; understanding all elements of the marketing mix, including the use of digital platforms. Identify any potential portfolio gaps. Generating competitor analysis reports. Generate successful communications plans for each annual planning cycle.
Have a working knowledge of PR and Promotional strategies for both the brand as a whole, and tailored plans for individual retail customers. Execute an agreed media strategy, collaborating with an approved agency.
