A number of opportunities have arisen to work for one of the UK's leading Healthcare solutions providers, joining at Category Buyer / Senior Buyer level in one of a number of positions that have been created out of an ongoing period of growth to work out of the head office in Birmingham.

My client forms part of a $40bn US organisation and as such there are fantastic opportunities for the successful candidates to significantly boost their career. We are specifically targeting candidates who are hungry for career development and training opportunities - the expectation is that you would be looking to promote to a more senior position within the first 24 months of securing a job.

As long as you have at least two years of strategic procurement experience and are interested in moving to a role that will offer the chance to develop your purchasing skills within a niche category area, industry or category background is not important. This doesn't happen every day; hence it is an opportunity not to be missed!

THE ROLE
* Achieving best value across the medical / clinical category areas, developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the relevant suppliers and markets.
* Preparing and leading tenders and projects with suppliers, negotiating contractual Ts&Cs.
* Manage the relevant supplier base including identifying and developing new suppliers, building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, and supplier rationalisation.
* Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders to raise the profile of procurement within the business.

REQUIREMENTS
* The individual must be highly self-motivated and keen to develop their skills and career.
* A degree or CIPS qualification would be advantageous
* Demonstrable procurement experience coming from any category or industry background, with the capacity to learn new areas.
* Excellent communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
