Application Performance Management (APM) Administrator

Prolifics is seeking a WebSphere Application Server Administrator to work with our consulting team on various client engagements, across all industries. Individual must have excellent communication and written skills and should have experience interacting with key client stakeholders. This is a full time position within our organization and will require travel.

Responsibilities Installation and configuration of complex ITM/ITCAM based monitoring infrastructures on a variety of platforms To work closely with the Project Manager of a given project To participate in project plans To understand the complex needs of customers involved in monitoring applications To initiate new projects by analysing, planning and estimating based on client needs To help identify and define enhancements to the technical monitoring methodology To understand the importance of personal utilization levels Required Qualifications IBM Tivoli Monitoring v6.2.x Framework Installation and Configuration on Windows and Distributed Platforms Installation and configuration of DB2 on Windows and Distributed Platforms Installation and configuration of Tivoli Common Reporting server and standard reports Strong administration skills within Unix and Windows Experience in creating and customizing Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP) Views, Workspaces, Queries, Situations and Workflows Knowledge of a variety of ITCAM products and agents, for Resource, Deep Dive, Service and Transaction Monitoring Experience writing installation/configuration and Operations Guide documentation Experience in mentoring of Administrative and User staff on Tivoli products Preferred Qualifications Installation, configuration and usage of Tivoli Common Reporting Cognos Reporting Server and reports Oracle or SQL Server WebSphere, WebSphere Portal, ESB or Process Server Knowledge of Services Monitoring with ITCAM Custom agent creation using Tivoli Agent Builder or Universal Agent Rational Performance Tester and Robot products Tivoli Certified Deployment Professional Certification on multiple ITM/ITCAM products WebSphere MQ and Message Broker Knowledge of WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat and Oracle Application Servers Knowledge of Application Server and MQ performance tuning About Prolifics
