Account / Product Manager - Maternity Cover

My client is a sales and marketing organization who work with retailers to create own label ranges. They work on the principles of developing good honest relationships with retailers and developing sales through category knowledge, product quality and category management.

The main purpose of the role is to take ownership of one key Account and one developing account.

You will also be responsible for;

* budgets, profit analysis, account costing's, sales forecasting and risk management.
* co-ordinate activity to ensure the smooth running of the account whilst building positive relationships with the retailers in question.
* Researching customer queries and providing feedback in a timely manner.
* Working with your Assistant on detailed sales analysis, stock management, promotional planning.
* Managing existing ranges through their life cycle.
* Negotiating commercials of new ranges.
* Effective project management skills to manage the critical paths and to launch ranges within the timeframe.

Specific competencies

* Create, understand & manage complex critical paths with support, plan forward and adapt critical paths to unforeseen situations.
* Communicating and negotiating with stake holders.
* Understanding complex stock situations - what if? Scenarios.
* Initiate the appropriate internal processes and procedures in a timely manner.
* Understand the detailed implication of the procedure / process.
* Developed an intermediate level of technical knowledge, which can put this across to customers. Ability to explain in a simple way a technical subject.
* An understanding of retail market and typical expectations and needs of retailers
* Proactively contacting the customer. Able to deal with ad-hoc issues confidently, efficiently & in a timely manner
* Proactive meetings. Independently develop the objectives of the meeting and collate all information. Put together presentations to a finished state for review by line manager if required. Be able to think creatively about how to get the information across. Able to deliver in a confident, authoritative and clear manner, with extra in-depth knowledge to support the presentation and customer questions
* Commercials and negotiations
* In-depth knowledge of the accounts, understand in more detail the drivers of the account, in-depth knowledge of all current issues. In-depth knowledge of historical issues.

Successful Candidates will receive

* A basic Salary of circa £32,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance
