This is a highly strategic procurement role, giving the successful individual CXO interaction with the business.

The position will provide commercial support to Vodafone UK through end to end management of the procurement process for high/medium risk, high/medium value procurement activity within the Network Transmission Category.
The Network Transmission Category will include Leased Lines, Fibre and Hardware, Microwave Transmission with associated professional services and support.

As a Procurement Manager - Network Transmission your main responsibilities will involve:

* Manage the procurement process for key projects, ensuring the selection of suppliers with the capability to meet our needs, high service standards, efficient executions and competitive rates.
* Identify and deliver commercial best practices and synergy benefits through effective collaboration with peers in other Operating Companies, and Global Supply Chain.
* Liaise with Vodafone Procurement Company Category manager for categories where a Global category plan is applicable. Ensure UK Operating companies views and requirements are understood during the strategy development and represent the UK Operating Company in any subsequent negotiations.

As a Procurement Manager - Network Transmission your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

* Experienced contracts negotiator who challenges the business requirements
* Proficient knowledge of contract law
* Experienced in strategic sourcing and supplier/contract management
* Good understanding of financial modelling and total cost of ownership
