We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised self-starter to provide high quality, professional and comprehensive administrative support for the Master of Research (MRes) programme. This will involve working in collaboration with administrative staff across the School of Nursing and Midwifery and the other Health Schools within King’s College London. The position is part time (17.5 hours per week) for a fixed term of three years. The administration of the School is headed by the Director Administration and Business Development, Barbara Dahill, and comprises the following areas – the Academic Services Centre (where this post is based), the Student Services Centre, Learning Technology, Marketing, Communications and Contracts. The Academic Services Centre (ASC) is responsible for providing full administrative and secretarial support for all nursing and midwifery academic staff within the School.

All applicants are expected to have strong administrative experience, be educated to degree level, have the ability to work without direct supervision, using ones own initiative to prioritise workload, to multitask and work to deadlines. A good standard of numeracy is required, including the ability to do simple data analysis. Applicants must have knowledge or experience of audiovisual systems, be able to assess systems, make recommendations and decisions, and both initiate projects and project manage as the need arises. The role will involve liaising with multi-disciplinary professionals within higher education and the National Health Service, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. The appointment to this 0.5 FTE position will be made within the grade 5 salary scale, currently £26,264-£30,424 per annum, plus £2,323 per annum. Salary will be paid pro rata.
