Experienced Sole-charge Accounts Manager opportunity with our client a well-established and successful £3m turnover firm of Consultant Engineers based in Central London. Reporting to the partners, this position is suitable for a sole charge Finance Manager who wishes to work in an interesting and varied environment. You will be a people person who will enjoy talking to customers and suppliers. The firm offers a good salary and benefits package.

The key purpose of this key role is to look after all day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting, reporting and financial administration which will include:

Bookkeeping and processing including: Authorise and enter purchase invoices , purchase ledger and payments, bank and ledger reconciliation , credit control and post receipts, monthly payroll for 30 staff, Bank reconciliation and cash flow management , job-costing, petty cash and expenses management and control, and general financial administration and liaise with the partners.

Period End will include; control account reconciliations, VAT return , salary preparation, P35, P11d and all related forms, accruals and prepayments and cut-off and prepare monthly management accounts. You will also do the accounts for a small property company.

The ideal candidate will be qualified, part-qualified or QBE and have prior sole charge accountant experience, with good excel and reconciliation skills, ability to plan and organise own work, excellent communication skills, outgoing and confident self-starter, highly organised and capable of meeting deadlines, and be flexible. Sage L50 and Sage Payroll will be a distinct advantage.
