Challenging, career enhancing opportunity for a highly commercial Financial Controller to join an international group which supplies into an array of different industries and control the reporting function across one of their largest UK divisions.

Specifically this will involve monthly management reporting, forecasts, budgets and cash forecasts to ensure accurate and timely reporting is undertaken for the PLC.
The successful candidate will be proactive and agile, building and maintaining relationships across the business to ensure that key issues are fully understood.

Similarly, technical proficiency should be a given and the role involves the management of the monthly consolidation process , leading the budgeting and forecasting process and supporting the Group FD in driving performance improvement.

Operationally, the role involves:
* Delivering the Business Unit plan to achieve current year's performance
* Inputting into planning activities with horizons of typically 1-2 years
* Implementing Business Unit decisions and setting local priorities
* Providing input to the annual business, financial and people plan

In addition

* Leading the FPA unit within the business unit
* Lead a team of several qualified direct reports
* Ensure that effective budgetary, reporting and other internal control systems are in place to monitor performance against plans
* Risk Management
* Working with the Business Development, Commercial and Operations functions increasing profit margins through stepped improvements in productivity and efficiency.
* Drive margin and profit improvements, through Performance Enhancement Strategies
* Manage and report the Business Unit cash management strategy, review and improve monthly debtors, lock up and working capital
