We are currently looking for a Commercial Analysis & Insights Manager to be based at our Loughborough site
Purpose of the role

- To manage and deliver robust and accurate financial and management information for internal management and CPW Group

- To perform regular reconciliations that ensure the underlying accuracy of reported data

- To support the growth of our business by providing a professional commercial / financial output at all times

- To define and own the reporting and analysis back into the team on the anticipated / actual success of customer offers and provide valuable insight around customer attraction, conversions and commercial performance

- Monitor, maintain and reconcile core reports that measure performance, working closely cross Dept and with CPW Finance teams on and off shore to deliver accurate analysis that informs business growth and maximizes profit

Main Duties & Responsibilities

As a member of the commercial team, reporting directly to the Head of Trading and Marketing, the Commercial Analysis & Insights Manager will be responsible for the collation of all financial reports, account reconciliation, scenario modeling, customer insights and building the level of insight required by the business to enhance trading performance. Activity will contribute to maximising trading profit and supporting decision making through recommendation and insight.

The principal responsibilities of the role are:

- Work across the business to analyse available data and provide recommendation
- Work confidently across functions and business units with financial, marketing and trading teams
- Own elements of planning and forecasting as part of budget and re forecast process
- Own the reconciliation of month end accounts across multiple categories and campaigns
- Support the business decision making process through MI
- To define, develop and manage a robust reporting platform

People management

- Management experience is desirable as the role requires management of two direct reports in a financial setting

Financial management

- Whilst no budget is assigned to this position, an understanding of financial performance is essential

Communication

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of delivering presentations representing clearly collated insight
- Ability to articulate insight findings to all levels in the business
- Ability to work closely with 3rd party suppliers

  • Able to demonstrate experience of working across analytics platforms and data modeling tools

Qualifications Essential:
  • Degree level in Financial or associated field Personal attributes Essential:
  • The job holder must be of 'good repute' for the purpose of complying with the FSA's requirements set out in the FSA handbook of Rules and Guidance
  • A team player able to work in a small team within a much larger corporate structure
  • Ability to work under pressure to demanding deadlines
  • Must be able to demonstrate drive and initiative
  • Must have the ability to initiate and effect change through clear communication and motivation
