A job opportunity has arisen with a multinational leading provider of scientific services and technical support to the crop protection industry. Owned by a leading global analytical service organisation, we are working in partnership to recruit an experienced Agronomist/ R&D Field Trialist.
Purpose - To provide assistance and support in all aspects of regulatory and field studies, whilst adhering to company standards and procedures:
Responsibilities would include
* Undertaking small field trials based in and around the East Midlands area. Travel further afield may also be required.
* Liaising with local growers and farmers to manage assignments and projects.
* Assessing the effects of agrochemicals and other agricultural inputs to the identified site.
* Sample analysis and data interpretation.
* Sample collection for internal analysis.
* Report writing.
* Undertaking any other daily activities in accordance with company standards.
The candidate
Candidates should have experience of working for a contract research organisation or other Agrochemical business in a similar position previously. A full driving licence is essential and the ability to work flexibly, around non office hours is a must. Strong communication and strong computer skills are also required, with a degree in a scientific discipline being advantageous, preferably this would be in a life science.
