Job Description
One Year Secondment or Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity Leave


The London Borough of Waltham Forest’s multi-award winning Strategy and Communications team needs an outstanding professional to cover a period of maternity leave.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with the attitude and skills to work at the heart of a London borough which is on the up.

Managing a team of six, you’ll be responsible for the Council’s media service and public affairs programme. It’ll be your job to ensure Waltham Forest residents get the best possible deal from government, and communicate the decisions that affect their lives during times of unprecedented change.

Your core skills should be in media management but you will also have an understanding of both Parliament and Whitehall, and experience of working with a wide range of organisations to deliver results.

This job will give you the experience of working daily with our Chief Executive and Leader, delivering real and measurable outcomes for our residents.

This role can be offered as either a one year fixed term contract or secondment.
