This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Market Intelligence team within the Strategy department based at Vodafone HQ in Newbury.

The Market Intelligence team helps Vodafone serve its customers and outperform its competitors by informing and influencing senior-level decision-making regarding characteristics & trends of our market and competitors

As a Market Intelligence Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:

oMonitor, document, analyse & clearly communicate competitors' performance based on a number of data sources.
oTo assess Vodafone's position in terms of market value on a monthly basis, alerting relevant stakeholders to value issues in a timely and actionable manner.
oTo highlight key issues & opportunities and to influence key stakeholders to ensure Vodafone responds in an appropriate way to competitor and market activity
oTo understand the key priorities for the enterprise and consumer marketing/ commercial teams and other stakeholders to ensure they are supported with appropriate, timely and relevant insights on competitor activity and market trends
oDevelop and produce regular and ad hoc reports detailing how Vodafone are positioned in the market
oHighlighting key competitive opportunities and concerns
oEstablish a network of sources to facilitate the delivery of timely competitor insights
oAssist in the programme of research and investigation directly funded and owned by CMI, including managing & developing relationships with existing & new suppliers
oUnderstand and collate existing & potential intelligence opportunities
oEnsure all activity, both internal and external, is carried out in adherence to the ethical and legal guidelines set out by Vodafone UK Competitor Intelligence.

As a Market Intelligence Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

oProven experience in an analytical role in a Telecommunications or Fortune 500 company
oAdvanced problem solving and communications skills-; ability to structure and analyse complex issues quickly and accurately; ability to present findings in clear and succinct presentations and reports oMust be able to develop effective relationships & influence decision-makers
oAdvanced excel skills and ability to manipulate data
oDrive & ambition - willingness to take personal responsibility for delivering objectives & helping Vodafone succeed

What we're looking for in you:

We're looking for someone who has solid experience as a Market Intelligence Analyst based in a large corporate organisation. An IT or Telco background would be an advantage but this is not essential.

You will be able to have strategic discussions with senior stakeholders and present information confidently.
