The financial services (FS) industry market development manager’s (IMDM) primary goal is to directly support revenue growth by establishing Microsoft as a leading business solutions provider in financial services. The IMDM will help to grow Microsoft’s market share in FS by driving demand generation and working with partners to develop the market. The success of the IMDM role is primarily measured by opportunity generation and growth of solution area (SA) revenue.

Deep Account Team Unit engagement to generate revenue and engage Business Decision Makers directly in business conversations:
Participate fully in Account Planning, contributing industry expertise to the process.
Drive line of business (LOB) opportunity creation through knowledge of the industry, Microsoft software and independent solution vendor (ISV) solutions.
Provide Industry knowledge, content and resources to Microsoft’s account teams and partners.

Subject matter expert (SME) for the financial services (FS) team in the Enterprise and Partner Group (EPG):
Help develop and own the Industry Strategy for FS in the UK.
Contribute to the wider FS community at Microsoft.
Develop market through knowledge sharing with FS customers.
Coach and provide industry knowledge to account teams and specialists in order to enable the advancement of business decision maker (BDM) relationships.
Develop and maintain a clear and credible ‘solution area’ strategy and solution map for all local solutions.
Collect and share competitive insights from BDMs and partners.
Drive customer evidence in FS e.g. case studies, quotes, references etc.
Contribute to Social Media for FS market presence.

Experiences Required: key experiences, skills and knowledge:
• Significant Financial Services industry solution selling experience

• Sales or consulting position in a competing or partner company.
