Person:

Education: University degree. Ideally a Post Graduate Marketing qualification. Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Experience: 7 to 10 years in progressive Marketing Co-ordinator to Product Management or Commercial roles. Marketing/Commercial experience in related healthcare fields is preferred.

Specialised skills/technical knowledge:

Role:

Develop, coordinate and implement medium and long-term national marketing strategies as well as the annual marketing/tactical plans for each product range for the acquisition, retention and conversion of customers. To provide leadership to the marketing team and to support the business unit in achieving its annual and 3-4 year sales and contribution targets. Key strategies will include:

* Consolidate and analyse national market and sales data, highlight trends and distill insights including competitor strengths and weaknesses. Segment the market and develop specific action plans aligned to product strengths.
* By maintaining close contact with, and knowledge of, the market develop and recommend strategies & tactics based on critical success factors. Vary tactics in response to opportunities and changes within the market.
* Lead and develop response to competitor activities & programs.
* Segment and quantify the market opportunity. Create the segmentation, positioning and targeting of the overall strategy across multiple customer groups.
* Keep updated on reimbursement, regulatory and healthcare policy & trends, develop a deep understanding of the NHS and its changes and assess their impact on medium/long-term growth. Develop strategic agility to respond timely to market opportunities.
