THE COMPANY:

The Staff Hub is looking to recruit 2 Senior Procurement Managers for our progressive client. The roles represent a great opportunity to make a real difference to the business by delivering change, challenge and improvement through your work.

THE JOB:

The job will take full responsibility for procuring goods and services used for front-line customer care whilst working closely with a highly skilled, talented service commissioning team.

Day to day duties will include:

* Taking a lead role in developing and redefining strategies and category plans
* Supporting internal customers in their procurement activities - providing advice and guidance on full procurement life cycle activities such as the preparation of specifications, ITTs, tender evaluations, decision making and contract management
* Actively contributing to annual savings by promoting and delivering a continuous improvement culture whilst delivering value in all procurement activity without reducing quality
* Challenging current established practice
* Hands on supplier account management and providing face to face contact with suppliers to encourage innovation throughout the supply chain
* Monitoring budget compliance and contracts post-award
* Providing appropriate levels of analysis and prioritisation of spend
* Taking the lead on agreeing realistic KPIs and identifying areas for improving current and future contracts to enable improved supplier performance and relations
* Championing innovation by identifying opportunities to collaborate with similar organisations to develop partnerships that will realise savings across the board
* Placing an emphasis on cash savings, process improvements and service standardisation
* Acting as the lead on a significant organisational change by implementing the Procure 2 Pay' system

To be successful in your application we are looking for certain criteria:

* MCIPS ideally
* Proven track record of personally achieving and leading teams to achieve quantifiable savings through procurement
* Knowledge and application of Contract Law and Contractual terms and conditions, ideally with knowledge of the key concepts of Public Procurement Law including EU regulations
* Understanding of procurement frameworks in the public sector such as OJEU, as well as e-procurement and P2P systems
* Evidence of negotiating high value contracts, and leading and managing strategic procurement projects

We would like to hear from candidates who can prove their ability to act with professionalism and who exhibit a positive attitude, along with the confidence to provide constructive challenge where necessary. Excellent influencing and negotiating skills are essential in order to deliver true cultural and procedural change whilst being able to support and challenge suppliers in equal measure.
