Position Summary:
Lead the J&J Vision Care EMA Category management messaging and deliverables to unlock category development as a key tangible growth lever. The Contact Lens category has low penetration and provides a unique opportunity to partner with retailers though category for growth and competitive advantage. The role of the EMA Category Manager is to develop the strategic contact lens category vision, complete the various functional tasks and support the implementation at a local country and customer level. They must at all times understand the customers' needs from a category and commercial view point and understand how the decisions and actions of J&JVC will impact on the customer and the wider EMEA contact lens category in general.
The role is cross functional, requiring commercial breadth, multifunctional knowledge, teamwork and leadership. Success depends on exercising both the technical, analytical and personal gravitas to support the sales effort, manage through influence and build trust with external customers and internal functions. The output of the role will be linked to tangible growth for Acuvue.

Main duties and responsibilities: 
Develop and implement category story and messaging : Commercial and In store Promo analysis and guidelines Identifying and sharing of TSMS Interface to identify the insights and messaging (marketing and Insights) CatMan range review delivery Specific category project focus e.g. Private Label and Beauty Drive down tool kits to markets and ensure local implementation Manage A&P spend and overall budget

Key Skills and Competencies required: 
Proven experience and delivery within the category function Experience with Healthcare Professionals Proven experience developing and implementing strategy Experience in customer facing role Clear ability to influence and align High level of computer literacy Fully conversant in data sources and analysis from various sources. Fully understand financial analysis and forecasting. Good understanding of sales and sales management, ideally with experience in direct sales management. A+P, P&L budget management experience. High level or written and verbal communication. Demonstrate personal gravitas to maintain and develop long-term internal and external relationships at board level both internally and externally. Education and Experience: Degree educated
