Headline:

Senior Procurement Manager: IT & Technology, within the expanding strategic sourcing function of this leading FTSE 100 organisation; currently heavily investing in process, procedures, infrastructure, driving best practice initiatives.

Role:


Reporting directly to the IT Procurement Director and working collaboratively with Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing functions you will be responsible for the following remit:

Operating as a subject matter expert for Technology Sourcing you will continually assess New Technology opportunities and, where pertinent, recommend their adoption by the business

Mapping key Stakeholders, securing buy-in and support, building relationships and engagement

Operating as an advocate of Procurement; selling the benefits and raising the profile of Sourcing

Delivering commercial value via ensuring best practice procurement strategies are accepted and embedded within the Group, delivering increased control, compliance and governance

Working with existing, and identifying new suppliers; leading supplier selection and SRM

Managing design, implementation and embedding of leading-edge Procurement processes and best practice techniques

Driving innovation and challenging historic principles and practices

Acting as a Technology Procurement subject matter expert, providing expertise to Senior Executives and more Junior Purchasing professionals

Requirements:


Demonstrable experience and expertise operating at Senior Procurement Manager / Category Lead level, ideally within a complex matrix Sourcing environment

Excellent IT & Technology category knowledge, including: Hardware, Software, Services

Ability to design and implement appropriate procurement processes, procedures and performance measures internationally

Knowledge of UK Contract Law, ideally encompassing complex contract drafting

Experience of driving business adherence to corporate procurement policy
Collaborative and persuasive; able to influence at all levels
Excellent academic profile, ideally with MCIPS accreditation
