The Role
:
Joining Tesco Maintenance in the role of Technical Support Manager, you will be based in Milton Keynes at our National Operations Centre. You will have overall accountability for managing the technical support delivery service team to the Category and Format colleagues. You will use data and trends to identify issues and provide solutions to the field teams to proactively improve the quality of service for customers and colleagues.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and improving operational problems throughout the Category Teams.
- Ensuring the Desk Engineers deliver exceptional quality service to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring your team deliver for customers and colleagues by tracking performance to ensure KPI indicators are achieved.
- Understanding facts and have accurate data to help the team do the right thing for customers.
- Working with the team and stakeholders to drive the future strategy of technical support to Category teams to deliver industry-leading service.
- Ensuring the team provide remote technical support for proactive diagnosis of maintenance problems to bring them to permanent and timely solution.
- Setting and agreeing steering wheel performance measures to ensure business needs are met.
- Developing management reporting structures to reflect on-going changes in the operating model.
- Having and maintaining full ownership and control of your budget.
- Completing periodic cost reconciliation to ensure spend is in line with budget.

The role is based at the National Operations Centre at Fenny Lock but may require occasional travel in the UK.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline along with 5 years` experience within an industrial maintenance environment. You will also need to demonstrate a record of achievement within a fast moving 24/7 business, along with a high level of commercial awareness and clear communication skills.
