We have an immediate vacancy for a Lead level Contracts Engineer, to join our clients Aberdeen based team.
Responsible for the UK Facilities and Subsea Operations contracts portfolio to ensure the management of supply and operational risks, resulting in high performance and maximum value for the enterprise.
Provide specialist advice and support to management and staff in all UK locations in respect of Facilities Engineering and Subsea Operations.
Manage the integration of UK sourcing contracts within the companies global sourcing requirements and multi divisional framework, to create the best value
DUTIES
Lead, influence and contribute to a Facilities Engineering and Subsea contracting strategy, in support of all UK activities and manage the team activities effectively to achieve KPI and budget targets.
The types of Contract that the Facilities Engineering and Subsea Contracts Team Lead would have in their portfolio would include but not be limited to the following: Topsides Engineering and Construction contracts. Subsea Engineering, Construction and IRM work, Survey and Controls systems.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- A self starter with extensive experience of setting contracting processes/contract development.
- Extensive experience of implementing contract management/supplier relationship management practices in Facilities
- Engineering and Subsea Operations.
- Potentially transferrable skills into other Team Lead Roles including Drilling & Completions, Operations & Maintenance,
- New Developments & Projects or Business Services.
- Proven experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and SRM would be an asset.
- Extensive understanding of oil and gas operations, including the supply market, materials/services, and it's contracting principles and practices.
- Proven understanding of joint venture operations and the impact contractual commitments have on joint venture partners.
- Proven capability to successfully direct or negotiate, implement and manage high value/complex contract/service agreements.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Ability to influence at a senior level.
- Proven ability to effectively motivate and manage a team.
- Assertiveness/Ability to articulate clearly.
- Numerate, analytical and logical.
- Good organisational skills.
- Effective relationship-builder at all levels, internally and externally.
