Background:     After years of isolation, since March 2011, Myanmar has a formal civilian government again. The new government launched first smooth reform steps in terms of democratisation, decentralisation and economic opening. Along with the reform efforts, the European Union has suspended the sanction against Myanmar, and therewith enabled a German engagement after an interregnum of almost 20 years.
Job description:      The core task of this assignment is the facilitation of the development of a sustainable regional development plan for the Danu Self- Administered Zone (SAZ).This is in line with the governments’ efforts of decentralisation and strengthening of regions.
Requirements:     
University/Masters’ Degree in Economics, Agriculture or equivalent
 At least 10 years of international working experience in developing countries in the relevant fields  proven long-standing knowledge of the country and project implementation experience, preferably in the particular region, is a prerequisite special technical expertise in economic development, agriculture, forestry, vocational training and tourism will be required preferably local expertise as well as Burmese and local language skills would be an asset good communication skills
