The Role:
This is an opportunity to join the growing BioScience Communications team as a Medical Writer. The Medical Writer will produce documentation for mid-sized editorial accounts and/or multiple small-size accounts, acting as a contact for editorial programmes and projects. This role will develop successful candidates into Senior Medical Writers

Key responsibilities:
Writing on mid-sized, established long term BioScience Communications client accounts, with some supervision from the senior editorial team
Production of scientific communication materials including journal manuscripts, slide kits, abstracts, posters, monographs, training materials, patient booklets, website content and conference/meeting materials that meet client needs/expectations.
Identification and management of issues that could damage client relationships or affect outcome of projects.
Consistent application of industry regulations and guidelines; being an advocate for good publications practice
Attendance at client meetings supporting Senior or Principal Medical Writer.
Attend scientific meetings as required
Understand scientific and marketing environments of various therapeutic areas
In absence of Senior Medical Writer, act as contact for editorial programmes and projects

Key candidate requirements:
Ability to get up to speed on new therapy and medical education areas
Demonstrated experience in producing editorial materials such as journal manuscripts, slide kits, meeting materials, abstracts/posters and monographs
Previous experience in applying industry regulations and guidelines
Strong written and oral communication skills, including solid interpersonal skills that enable positive influencing of others
High level organisation skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Previous experience of referencing software such as Endnote or Reference Manager is desirable.
