The Role:
We’re looking for a socially minded gamer to manage the content and engagement for one of the biggest entertainment brands in the world. S/he will possess good copywriting skills, be witty in tone and understand what makes the gaming community tick. From a client perspective, you’ll take the lead and work with the organisation to understand key stories, priorities and information that serve the community and the company well. Your team will consist a talented Junior Community Manager and Creative. Together, we want you to work your magic, creating ideas and leading the conversation to set the community alight.
Key requirements:
Priority #1: must love gaming
Priority #2: must love social media community management, content development, moderation, engagement and strategy
Priority #3: possess strong copywriting skills, be full of wit and provide a Twitter handle to prove it
Priority #4: strong social media knowledge of key platforms, namely Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+
Priority #5: an ideas person that knows what the community wants, how to excite fellow gamers
#Priority 6: strong project management and good communications skills
#Priority 7: the ability to work to strict processes and deadlines
#Priority 8: experience working for a global gaming/entertainment brand
Responsibilities
Client Service:
Build and maintain a strong relationship with the client’s Brand Marketing Manager
Deliver consistent, high level community management and content creation
Analyse the online conversation to generate insights and guide the engagement strategy
Professionally and effectively communicate with peers and producers, demonstrating sound reasoning and judgement
Develop socially led campaign proposals and content
Manage influencer engagement and amplification on core channels
Work closely with senior management and contribute to strategy and account expansion
Participate in and attend client meetings/conference calls
Review activity reports and status reports for clients
Assess online marketing strategies
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends and demonstrate understanding of how they integrate into communications programmes
People Engagement:
Oversee work products of more junior staff to ensure quality and consistency
Provide ongoing and constructive feedback to junior staff
Coach and support team members
Understand internal operations and inter-team cooperation
Set achievable goals and tasks, delegate opportunities and provide resources for staff to meet their goals; consistently measure and reward goal achievement
Contribute to the performance appraisal process for peers and managers
Business Development:
Contribute to new business process, including research, idea contribution and proposal preparation
Develop network of industry contacts; participate in relevant professional associations
Participate in cross-practice and cross-geographical teams to provide clients and prospects with the most compelling team and proposal
Financial Planning and Management:
Demonstrate understanding of financial concepts at project level, such as budgeting pricing structure (hourly, retainer and fixed), over-servicing and profitability
Understand and participate in agency billing and invoicing procedure
Assist with the development of accurate project budgets
Effectively work within account budget parameters and deadlines
Leadership:
