Our prestigious client is looking to recruit a Finance Controller this a great opportunity to join a winning team, you will be responsible for directing, managing and controlling all financial and budgetary systems and processes ensuring that agreed disciplines and measures are followed. Ensuring that the business receives the necessary financial information to facilitate its pursuance of strategic goals
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure the timely production of management accounts, budgets, forecasts and detailed analysis.
* Successfully manage a team of 3 within the finance area
* Ensure that financial targets and budgets developed with the management teams are strategic and capable of delivering profit.
* Provide relevant financial information and commentaries which enables the business to understand achievement and progress towards strategic goals.
* Create cost models for business projects and new business partnership opportunities.
* Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
* Partial preparation of Statutory Accounts.
The attainment of efficient and effective processes within the business that can ensure optimum economic operating costs.
* Challenge operational efficiency through financial analysis.
* Support and promote an enthusiastic, open and positive business culture which will be both results and customer driven through the development, focus and motivation of the financial management teams.
Skills / Experience:
* Recognised professional accountancy qualifications: ACCA/CIMA/ACA
* Extensive practical experience in a similar role in financial services ideally
* Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles
* Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
* Fluency in management reporting techniques including compilation of bespoke MI reports for clients and internal management.
* Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets and product line profitability analysis.
* Able to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects.
* Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
* Strong organisational and planning skills. Good analytical skills in problem detecting and solving.
You will be required to be credit checked for this role therefore it is essential that you have clear a credit history.
