HR Manager -

My key client based in Leicester has the opportunity for a HR Manager to join their team on a part time basis (3 to 4 days per week)

Reporting into the Head of HR, the HR Manager will provide effective and efficient Generalist HR Support to HR Business Partners, the HR Management Team and Client Groups.

The HR Manager will be will be responsible for the management of highly complex HR casework.

Key Responsibilities of the HR Manager:


  •     Provision of a hands on and specialist HR service to HR Business Partners and Client Groups through the application of specialist professional expertise as well as giving direction to a small team of HR Advisors.
  •     Fulfilling a generalist role, you will provide specialist expertise and guidance in order to assist in maintaining and managing an Employee Relations caseload, ensuring that cases are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  •     Provision of accurate and effective advice to Line Managers on the management of Employee Relations issues and cases such as Discipline and Grievances.
  •     Advise on the analysis and extraction of Employee data in order to facilitate business decision making in relation to employee and employment law matters.
  •     Management of HR projects designed to achieve the organisations objectives

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience required of the HR Manager:

  •     CIPD (Desirable)
  •     Experience of both strategic and operational HR preferably in a unionised environment
  •     Authoritative knowledge of HR work practices including a broader sector/commercial awareness
  •     Strong supervisory skills, with the ability to lead and stretch a small team of HR Advisors through clear direction and day-to-operational requirements
  •     Thorough and up-to-date understanding of all aspects of employment law, best practice and current thinking in HR management
