IT (& IT Project) Manager (Windows, AD, VMware); North West London; required to join a leading manufacturer of lighting and media equipment and lead their IT Infrastructure and projects.
Perfect position for the budding Systems Admin and make your mark and progress your career into a role with more responsibilities.

You will need to be at a hands-on administrator level holding good exposure with Windows 2003/2008 R2 server environments with Active Directory (AD) knowledge and a solid exposure in virtualisation (ideally VMware) and Exchange 2003/2007 admin skills.
You will also need a broad knowledge in networking and proficiency with DHCP and DNS. Knowledge with SQL database driven systems is needed as well as exposure with PostgresSQL servers.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for managing IT contractors and 3rd party partners/suppliers so project management skills are a must.
You will be proposing continual improvement to the companyâ€s IT systems with aim of improving efficiency and stability and then implementing upon green light from senior management.
Some ad hoc IT Desktop support will be needed so good communication and people skills are essential. You will be responsible for IT budget and project resource planning, management and reporting.

You will also be managing the company websites so any knowledge in this field will be highly advantageous (for example; CMSs like DotNetNuke, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and ASP.NET).
Any Microsoft certification would pose a great benefit to your application.
