About The Role:
The successful individual will work with internal stakeholders and public and private sector client groups (to include; Crossrail, GLA, Local Borough Councils, SFA, NAS, OPLC and key client led initiatives/bodies) to develop and implement effective business development strategies across the London Region. He/she will also develop business opportunities which promote and deliver a sustainable business model for the Tunnelling and Underground Construction Academy (TUCA) and fully align to the client's vision for the academy as articulated by the Industry Advisory Panel.

You will be accountable for supporting the development of the London offer with identified client groups, strategic accounts and stakeholders to grow the National Construction College business in London achieving year on year commercial growth and an inclusive curriculum offer, ensuring the sustainable development of TUCA delivering against the Crossrail strategic plan and wider industry needs both nationally and internationally, and act as the client lead on strategic development of the TUCA curriculum offer engaging with the Crossrail Skills and Training Manager

You will also be responsible for identifying and developing funding opportunities which align to London Borough Economic Development Plans and key government stakeholder priorities. Ensuring the offer is structured to deliver best possible outcomes for the industry. Therefore you will be expected to develop a good understanding of the NCC business plan and objectives for the London Estate footprint to ensure maximum benefit from localised initiatives and major projects as well as establishing and maintaining contact with key decision-makers internally and externally to deliver business growth.

About You:
You will have been educated to degree or equivalent in a relevant industry or education qualification, proven experience operating at managerial level within a sales or business environment, and the ability to operate with key stakeholders at a strategic level. A current, full clean UK Driving Licence is essential. In addition you must be an excellent communicator with well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills. You should be a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude to work. An ability to manage conflict and difficult situations will be a distinct advantage as will being willing and able to work non-standard hours as and when necessary.
