Description:
 Talascend is currently seeking a Plant Manager for a permanent opportunity in London.

Responsibilities:
·Continuous development of customer focused service delivery.

·Efficient execution of operational plans.

·Ensuring compliance with Statutory and Corporate requirements for Quality, Health, Safety and Environment in delivering the Obligations from BT and / or Customer sites.

·Process Improvements through application of Lean Principles and Standardisation.

·EAC/ Cost and Budget (P&L).

People Management:

·Builds and motivates high performance teams.

·Ensure the right people on the right job at the right time.

·Succession Planning and People Development.

·Skills and Capability Gap Analysis and Action Planning.

·Builds effective partnerships with external and internal stakeholders.

Delivery of the Contractual Obligations:

·Compliance with Statutory and Corporate requirements for QHSE.

·Action planning based on defined KPIs, performance measures and reporting tool.

Responsiveness of delivery to the customer:

·Action planning based on defined KPIs, performance measures and reporting tools.

Control and improve EAC Cost against Business Targets:

·Development of sound business cases.

·Identification of opportunities to grow revenue.

·Active management of cash flow and finances.

·Action planning based on defined KPIs, performance measures and reporting tools.

·Application of Lean Principles in Process Improvements.

Qualifications

·Substantial post qualification experience (Rail specific industry experience advantageous).

·Strong leadership experience.

·Proven operational management track record in a manufacturing or service environment.

·Proven record for managing a cost and income budget.

·Proven record as lead on business improvement (i.e. application of lean principles, continuous improvement and standardisation).

·Education required Management / Engineering Degree or equivalent.

·Ability to define and manage priorities.

·Able to communicate at all levels: executive, managerial and technical level with the customer, team and senior management.

·Ability to manage work to ensure maximum continual service provision by maintaining a highly motivated self-awareness.

·Act as a coach and mentor for team members.

·Vision and Ideas to benefit the client.
