Our client is an innovative unified communications and contact centre services company, focused on delivering exceptional customer contact strategies and solutions from contact centre virtualisation and IP telephony, to Workforce Optimisation, multi-channel contact strategies and user-centred speech.

As an Avaya Platinum partner they are keen to recruit a talented individual and provide them extensive training on the Avaya product set.
This is a real opportunity for an individual to breakout of their standard IT support / IT service desk background and become a specialist in this field.
All you will need is a good understanding of technology and be passionate about delivering 1st class customer service.

ROLE:
This role will primarily support commercial sales and pre-sales team by providing technical expertise during designing and pricing IP Telephony Contact Centre Solutions, support pricing and input for tenders and contractual documentation.

This position comes with excellent career progression and in time, our client envisage the expertise gained through hands on experience and training the successful candidate will be able to identify possible Sales opportunities by leveraging their understanding of the AVAYA technology and ultimately become a proficient Presales Consultant.
The role would suite any individual with a technical aptitude with a keen desire to work in a sales environment. The person needs to be energetic and driven to succeed in this demanding role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Provide pre-sales support to Sales Team in respect of Contact Centre Solutions.
b) After training assist in defining pricing for products, services & on-going support.
c) Provide sales support on sales opportunities remotely by email and phone and with experience on a face to face basis for Client meetings.
d) Tender and bid response ensure that all technical input required is provided timely to Commercial Team.
e) Accountability of updating CRM application with appropriate costs in a timely fashion.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous experience in a similar role and strong Technical background with an ability to pick technical concepts easily and then be able to articulate the technical solution in laymen's terms to an operationally focused person.
b) Excellent relationship building skills, and a professional approach in representing the company and the benefits of a solution versus the competitors'.
c) Fully competent in Microsoft Word - to create professional responses to tenders.
d) Knowledge of Microsoft Excel - to calculate and price solutions. Knowledge of Microsoft Visio - to articulate design of solutions.
e) Experienced in supporting the design and pricing of technical solutions.
f) Technical Accreditations e.g. CISCO, Microsoft, Oracle and/or desire and ability to become accredited in products their sell.

DEESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Technical knowledge of VOIP/IP Telephony would be beneficial.
b) Some project delivery experience an advantage. Ideally some exposure to a CRM such as Salesforce.
