The Role: Meter Reader required exclusively in IP Postcodes to carry out the reading of electric meters in residential properties. This is a temporary contract, initially lasting 16 weeks with the possibility of becoming a permanent franchise position or continuing on a temporary contract.
The Candidate: It is essential that candidates be car owners who are covered for or willing to add business insurance to their policy. Candidates must also possess a landline telephone as this is how the readers receive and send their work back on a daily basis. Please be aware that you should be prepared to walk up to 10 miles per day in all weather, in order to complete their daily allocated work. If successful on application, you will be required to complete a Basic Criminal Record Check at your own expense of £25.
The Benefits: Paying £7.96 per hour, this is a long term contract that will initially last for 16 weeks, subject to performance.
