Regional Operations Manager covering 5 sites across the Midlands region working for a market leading Recycling company.

This is a challenging new role reporting directly to the Midlands Region Managing Director. With responsibility for managing all five operational sites in the region, you will be a key member of the regional management team in driving for growth and profitability improvement.

Key Responsibilities

* Management of the operations of all five sites to ensure efficient processing of materials to minimise stocks and maximise utilisation of equipment
* Continuous improvement in efficiency and costs
* Ensure all key plant and machinery is properly maintained and managed
* Management and motivation of staff. Staff reporting 5 site managers and approximately 35 site staff
* Management of material processing to maximise recycling of materials and maximise revenues
* Ensure the highest standards of health and safety in ISO compliance

Who we're looking for

Managing multiple sites you will have a proven track record of leading in a multi-site environment. You will have also been a successful manager within a processing / production environment and will have appropriate experience of managing staff and machinery to maximise profitability. Clearly Recycling Industry experience would be an advantage, but certainly not essential. We are keen to consider applications from varied manufacturing sectors. With this said you will have experience in meeting high standards in Health, Safety & Environmental compliance and preferably trained to NVQ level 2. We are looking for applicants who have the capability to adopt change and deliver best practise for a business that prides itself on efficiency and service delivery.

We would expect good communication, planning and organisational skills working closely at all levels of the business hierarchy. The individual must be commercially aware and be able to optimise the operations to maximise profitability whilst maintaining safe working practices. The job requires a team player who has the ability to progress within the company over the next few years.
