Our client is one of the fastest growing plumbing and heating suppliers in the UK, with a dedicated nationwide branch network of over 180 branches.
They have state of the art bathroom showrooms which are designed to inspire their customers by showcasing their impressive range of products.

Position: Showroom Category Manager
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Salary: £Competitive

ROLE:
The Showroom Category Manager will define the bathroom offer for both the Bathroom brochure and the Showroom environment. Without this role the bathroom offer would not be reviewed and refreshed on a regular basis and would become out of date.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Define the bathroom offer in the Bathroom brochure to achieve sales and margin growth. Define what products are displayed in the Showroom environments to support their 'Good, Better, Best' proposition and own brand strategy.
b) Build good relationships and hold bi-annual product reviews with suppliers to understand their full product offer and future innovations in order to select the products which support the category strategy.
c) Work closely with iflo team to increase the iflo participation from the Bathroom brochure and showroom environment.
d) Challenge and work with Commercial colleagues to maximise profitability with a continuous programme of reducing cost of goods and ensure offers are competitive.
e) Assist with the communication of the defined range to the operational business.
f) Analyse sales and margin performance by branch / region and brand supplying findings to operational business to help to deliver greater sales and margin by classifying low and high performers. Be aware of current and future market trends.
g) Liaise with Commercial teams to ensure that all supplier contributions for the Showrooms either monetary or product are received as per agreements. Communicate defined product range with Supply Chain, Property and Marketing.
h) Ensure New Testament is fully maintained.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Minimum A level or college equivalent.
b) Proven industry or related experience.
c) Computer Literate, Numerate, management experience, influencing, communication, negotiation skills.
d) A strong working knowledge of Category Management.
e) Flexible approach to workload and can work under pressure with tight deadlines.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Graduate level or equivalent.
b) 5 years industry or related experience.
c) Category management experience.
d) Knowledge of the Bathroom industry and products.
