1st Executive are currently representing a Global Charitable Organisation based just outside of Cambridge, who have one of the largest research facilities in Europe. They are looking to appoint a Senior Procurement Specialist to join their fast-growing purchasing team.
Role summary:
The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing a core portfolio of suppliers with a spend portfolio of £6M on a national level, including leading in the skilled negotiation of new contracts.
You will take the lead in working with senior stakeholders across the organisation to procure a number of indirect categories including IT hardware and software, capital equipment, supplies, furniture, consumables and services.
You will implement current and new purchasing strategies, including effective supplier management in building constructive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels to add value to the organisation.

Key requirements:
- Degree qualified
- Broad indirects or science focused category experience
- MCIPS qualified and/or extensive purchasing experience
- Contracts Management experience
- Strong stakeholder management experience
