The Procurement and Facilities Department are recruiting for a Contract Manager to join their extremely busy team. The role of Contracts Manager is a permanent full time position. The successful applicant will be responsible for sourcing, tendering, establishing contracts and contract management of suppliers.

The successful candidate will be managing their own work plans and procurement projects in partnership with clinical and non clinical departments. Strong interpersonal skills will be required to build and maintain relationships with our customers and project a positive image of the department. You must be able to work by yourself and also as part of the wider procurement team when developing and implementing new procedures and practices.

Previous procurement and contracting experience within the Public Sector is essential and knowledge of the NHS Environment would be advantageous. We are looking for individuals with strong commercial expertise, proven experience of delivering savings and the ability to learn new categories of goods and services.

With effect from 1st September 2011, a 6 month probation period will apply to all posts (excluding medical staff)

The payment of either £29.25 (standard) or £47.25 (enhanced) will be deducted from the first three months salary.
