Java Developer - Senior/Lead/software/engineer

A very highly thought of consultancy who operate primarily within the Investment Banking Sector are looking for a high level Senior Lead Java Developer. You will be responsible for developing enterprise level software solutions as well as working on smaller iterative development projects. The role is based in London, working with a very impressive list of clients and is paying between £50,000 - £75,000 plus benefits.

Working on real time applications with a high number of transactions is a benefit, as is any trading systems exposure. Also, experience of working with various development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall is important. You do not have to come from a banking background so this opportunity is a great way to gain exposure to this sector.

This is an opportunity to work on the cutting edge of technology, for a company who has projects that are unique and sort after. If you have not worked in banking, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to the financial sector, so if you are from Telecommunications, Defence, consultancy or somewhere where they have a real time, high transaction applications, please apply.

You should preferably have over 5 years of working with the Java / J2EE framework. Databases are typically Oracle and SQL Server and the Middleware, TIBCO, MQ Series etc.
Experience of Middleware and messaging technologies

The projects you will be involved in are typically large enterprise systems, large risk management systems but you must also be prepared to work on smaller development based projects, the low - mid level projects.
