Maloy & Flynn Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Buyer with Laboratory experience for a worldwide company based in Southampton.
This position will be responsible for the contract negotiation and to be the interface to ensure that the procurement process is delivered to a high standard to meet the needs of the organisation.

Main Duties
Supports the Account Procurement team to ensure that effective procurement activity
- Deal with the delivery of effective supplier rationalisation and cost savings.
- Utilising best practice spend reduction techniques.
- Presents all relevant data and procurement input in order to influence the business planning process.
- Ensure the contractual arrangements are accurately reflected in supplier contracts and supplier management.
- Supports the implementation of agreed category strategies and ensures the use of the preferred supplier listing.
- Improve efficiency and value added capability through cultivating an environment of ideas generation and innovation from the incumbent supply base.
- Drives continuous improvement through conducting effective supplier management.
- Monitors and reports on key financial and other performance metrics.
- Prepares the appropriate data to support the divisional business planning process.
- Uses appropriate technologies to conduct procurement activity.

The ideal applicant will have previous experience of negotiating commercial contracts and have worked within a continuous improvement environment. Previous procurement experience is essential for this position.

The successful applicant must have a full UK driving license as you will be require to travel to various sites.
