JV Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Senior Brand Manager to join the brand marketing team for one of the most recognised food manufacturers in the UK. Reporting to the Director of Brand Development, the successful candidate will develop customer propositions and own brand strategies across a range of categories.
Responsibilities -
- Understand and assess the marketplace and customer need through market research, to set the proposition and brand identity for our categories following the agreed brand strategy
- Assess business opportunities working with relevant stakeholders, to develop relevant strategic product/range offering which meets both business and customer needs, undertaking customer research if necessary.
- Take financial accountability and responsibility for brand performance, identifying any issues and taking action
- Own the consistent application of brand identity across all channels.
- Create a range architecture that is consistent with the brand identity.
- Undertake strategic reviews to ensure brand development results in an increase of Own Brand participation.
- Work closely with relevant senior stakeholders to ensure full buy in and integration across departments.
Requirements -
- Previous demonstrable experience of Brand management or brand development
- Ability to create strategic brand plans with a clear commercial awareness.
- Able to show an understanding of design to ensure that this is aligned with brand identities.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to influence at all levels and present to senior audiences.
- Resilience and tenacity, ability to push through the 'right` decision.
- Experience of managing multiple high profile projects; excellent organisational skills and ability to work at pace and to tight deadlines.
- A conceptual thinker who can also deliver the detail.
