Convenience National Account Manager
Salary: 35K - 40K + car allowance, bonus and excellent benefits
Location: Home based but must be able to attend meetings at our clients head office in London

Our clients Sales Team have been instrumental in driving growth, and as part of their plan to continue to expand, they are looking to recruit a National Account Manager in the Retail team - specifically in the convenience channel. Responsible for the convenience channel covering customers such as Palmer& Harvey, Forecourts, Convenience Stores, symbol groups eg Londis, NISA and smaller grocers such as Booths, Budgens.

Reporting to the Managing Director your responsibilities will include:

Key Account Management:

* Deliver/exceed agreed account budgeted volumes and turnover for existing accounts via distribution gains, new pack listings, and increased rate of sale on existing lines. Account portfolio will include a number of accounts across the convenience sector
* Fully manage all elements of customers relationship with the agreed accounts including joint business planning; promotional calendars, NPD, pricing, merchandising, contact strategy, debt management.
* Full responsibility for account P&L targets
* Analyse promotions, merchandising, pricing etc within portfolio of accounts and make recommendations to management team.

New Business Wins and successful implementation of NPD:
* Convert agreed new business accounts and achieve the new business target on agreed packs.
* Agree listings of some exciting NPD into major accounts across the retail market

Candidate requirements

* Experience within the Convenience sector ie Nisa, Palmer &Harvey Forecourts, Mace, Welcome Break, Costcutter, Londis, Spar
* Highly self-motivated and articulate.
* A proven track record in FMCG Sales management and National Account Management.
* Good category management experience (as an Account Manager, not a specialist).
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook).
* Tenacious, commercially aware and customer focused
* Good communication and presentation skills
* Results orientated and proven track record in sales, ideally in retail
* Naturally inquisitive
* Team player, who thrives in a small team
