Senior Pharmacy Technician - Dispensary and Stores

Do you want to join the Dispensary and Stores management team as a supervisor in a busy modern NHS Hospital? We are looking for a registered Pharmacy Technician able to think on their feet, and work in a dynamic and flexible way.

You need to be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and be an experienced Pharmacy technician with NHS hospital Pharmacy experience and perhaps looking for the next career step. Or you may have significant supervisory experience in community pharmacy and are looking for a change.

You will supervise the teams and support the management of both the Dispensary and Stores services, as part of an excellent team. You will be supervising the day to day running of the departments, organising and monitoring the performance of staff to maintain an efficient and safe Dispensing and Distribution service. Ensuring work is undertaken in line with policies and procedures, and undertaking routine Dispensary and Stores work as required. Your week will be split up so that you work in the Stores department for 2.5 days and in the Dispensary for 2.5 days.

You will deputise for the Stores Manager and the Dispensary Lead Technicians when required, and will gain valuable experience across the whole range of Stores and Dispensary roles. This role may be a particularly good step for an experienced Band 4 Pharmacy Technician looking for career progression. It will give you an insight into Pharmacy and the wider NHS and an understanding of management roles.

Candidates should have excellent communication & interpersonal skills; be motivated, flexible, adaptable and able to work well in an environment of change and transition. You will need to have an NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services and a BTEC in Pharmaceutical science (or equivalent qualification and underpinning knowledge) and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
We actively support the development and training of all our staff, to achieve and succeed. _______________________________________________________________________________
