Role:
My client, a FTSE 100 organisation, has an exciting opportunity for a procurement candidate to undertake and manage the effective delivery of the Procurement and Sourcing strategy, policies & procedures, and savings programme on an assigned Category Group/Portfolio basis
Remit:
* Act as the primary Sourcing lead, interface and focal point with the project teams for all procurements defined within your Portfolio
* Provide best practice procurement advice and end to end sourcing project management
* Develop sourcing specifications and the sourcing approach
* Deliver a Procurement Service and procurement solutions in line with the contract scope, criteria and timescales
* Deliver breakthrough results in quality, performance, service & cost
Requirements:
* Experience of developing procurement strategy across indirect categories is essential
* 7 step purchasing technique is also important
* Demonstrative ability to drive strategic cost savings
* Track record of embracing change, championing best practice, driving continuous improvement
* Degree educated would be advantageous
