We are seeking talented and ambitious Product Designers to join our growing team. The successful candidates will take leadership roles in the innovation and development of new medical devices by drawing on their technical insight, creativity, initiative and drive.

The Role:
You will invent and develop new medical device products that are intuitive to use, well-received by patients and styled appropriately for the product category, the brand and the users' lifestyles. Your designs will incorporate product design, human factors and usability considerations as well as novel mechanisms and robust engineering.

You will create, visualise and iteratively develop product concepts and mechanisms using CAD, graphic designs, sketches and physical models. These will be used in illustrations and storyboards, user research, proof-of-principle demonstration, product prototyping and testing, pilot scale production and commercialisation.

You will act with passion to create better human experiences through product design.

Working in a team, your approach, reliability and dedication will enable you to effectively integrate with engineers, designers and physicists both inside and in the client's organisation.

You will maintain high standards of performance throughout your work, based on your drive and passion, and your ability to efficiently solve problems and effectively communicate ideas.

Your work will display quality, honesty and integrity at all levels, in particular to address the standards of design rigour that are required to develop successful devices.

Qualifications and training:

You will have:
1st or Upper 2nd class degree or equivalent in product design, industrial design engineering or mechanical engineering.
A portfolio showing the significant impact you have made on the development of new products from concept to production.
Skills and experience:

You will have:
Strong creative and analytical-thinking skills, based on a broad understanding of product design, usability, mechanical engineering and physical principles.
Advanced skills in CAD (SolidWorks or Creo), graphic design (Photoshop and Illustrator) and sketching.
Skills in human factors and usability of products.
Knowledge and experience in the design of injection-moulded parts.
The ability to communicate confidently and authoritatively to senior business leaders.
A drive to succeed, to continuously improve the quality of your work, to develop new skills and to take increasing responsibility.
