Description:
This is a rare opportunity to join a leading law firm as a Technical Business Systems Analyst. You will work in the London office as part of the Europe and Asia IT Systems team and will work closely with the US IT Systems team and the Global Business Transformation team (BTT).
Reporting to the Deputy Head of IT for Europe and Asia, you will be responsible for a range of duties which include: day-to-day administration of the Firm’s servers and where appropriate, global applications, technical leadership of business facing projects including the creation of associated documentation, liaising with business sponsors, suppliers and stakeholders, working closely with the BTT to deliver new projects and initiatives, identifying, documenting and undertaking maintenance and administration processes on systems infrastructure globally, assisting with queries that have been escalated by the IT support team, ensuring global business continuity tasks are being completed successfully and completing quarterly tests to ensure that systems can be recovered and are fully documented.
You will be required to participate in the shift rota where staff work a 7 hour day (plus one hour for lunch) between 8.00am and 18.30pm as well as participating in the on-call rota shift rota system (evenings and weekends (including bank holidays)). Flexibility on these hours will be required from time to time.
Skills and experience required:
You must have at least five years’ experience of supporting Microsoft Office, Interwoven and Exchange and at least three years’ experience of the administration of Active Directory, Windows Server 2003 and 2008, Exchange 2010 and SQL 2005/2008. Ideally, you will have worked in a professional services environment for at least three years and will have working knowledge of a wide range of systems including Citrix, Backup-Exec, IPStor and VMWare, Mimecast, Big Hand, and Interaction.
You will need to demonstrate that you have:

- – Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence others
- – A logical and analytical approach with an understanding of the importance of the proper completion and handover of projects
- – Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and present effectively to all levels
- – An organised approach to work which allows you to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities.
- – A degree level education with at least an ITIL foundation level qualification.
