A highly respected City based insurer seek an experienced Claims Adjuster. Duties will include adjusting your own portfolio of Engineering and Construction matters and to a lesser extent Professional Indemnity and possibly Liability claims in accordance with agreed authority limits and in line with company claims procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To ensure that claims presented, either by way of paper or electronic submission, are handled promptly, efficiently and within agreed service levels from notification to conclusion.
• To appoint and manage service providers and develop strategy for claim resolution.
• To liaise with brokers, co-insurers, insured's on claims related issues.
• To ensure that claims records held on internal systems are accurate and up to date. In addition, to be responsible for managing own workflow via ECF2.
• Work in conjunction with the Claims team and representatives of the Underwriting teams to ensure smooth operation of business and effective communication is in place through all areas of the business.
• Comply with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and regulations
• To operate as an effective team member by supporting colleagues and contributing in the delivery and achievement of overall team and business objectives
• Liaise with relevant and associated areas and groups within the business process to establish, support and maintain business relationships and organisational effectiveness
• To undertake any other duties of a similar nature that the company reasonably requests to be performed that are within the expertise and skills of the jobholder. These may be subject to periodic review and any updates and changes to be introduced after consultation with the person concerned.

Education/Experience Required:
Minimum of 5 years experience in Engineering & Construction Claims and/or Property claims.
Ideally good Casualty experience also
Ideally has London market experience.
