Excellent 11 month short term contract opportunity for a Procurement Specialist with HR Category experience

My client, a global financial institution, have an opening for an 11 month maternity cover for a Corporate Procurement Manager to specialise within the HR category.

Key Responsibilities

-Work closely with the Human Resources department to:
oDevise and implement competitive procurement and contracting processes for goods, works and services.
oDevelop and implement procurement strategies that respond to the Bank's operational and strategic objectives.
-Maintain and deliver a schedule of on-going and planned procurement processes in conjunction with key stakeholders in the Human Resources Department.
-Liaise with and positively influence key stakeholders in the procurement process.
-Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers.
-Draft and present recommendations to the Head of CPU and the Bank's Corporate Procurement Review Committee.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications

-The Bank is seeking a procurement professional with experience in the Human Resources category and specific procurement expertise in the following: Compensation and Benefits; Recruitment; and Training.
-Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team is essential. Project teams typically consist of an HR Manager, the Corporate Procurement Manager, representatives of the legal and IT departments and any other affected stakeholders.
-Best practice procurement skills combing strategic and operational thinking.
-Good working knowledge of contracts and contract law, ideally CIPS qualified.
-Experience in coordinating all of the inputs required to undertake successful procurement projects.
-Good communication skills, including a proven track record of building productive relationships with colleagues both internally and externally.
-Good writing skills and drafting ability; excellent level of English both written and spoken;
-Ability to work independently and prioritise.
-Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work to very tight deadlines.

This opportunity attracts an equivalent salary £49747 with an 11 month completion bonus of £9380.
